Overview of market liquidity week 19 - 23 December 2022
Week 19 - 23/12, the stock market continued to decline sharply. VN-Index decreased more than 3% to 1,020.34 points, HNX-Index also decreased 3.6% to 205.3 points.
On average, market liquidity decreased quite slightly. HOSE recorded a 1.63% increase in trading volume to nearly 836 million units/session, the average transaction value decreased by 2% to nearly 14 trillion VND/session.
Meanwhile, the HNX recorded a nearly 10% decrease in trading volume to 90 million units/session, and a 9.5% decrease in transaction value to more than 1.2 trillion VND/session.
Although the average results were quite good, in reality, cash flow weakened sharply towards the end of the trading week. In the session of December 23, the total trading value of the two exchanges HOSE and HNX reached less than 10 trillion VND.
Weak cash flow continues to show the confusion of previous weeks. During the week of December 19 - 23, money-attracting stocks were scattered across many industry groups.
Among them, the steel and metal groups are the most prominent when appearing in the top liquidity increases such as POM, SMC, TNA, NKG, VGS... However, the prices of these codes still went down last week.
The securities group on the HNX also has many representatives attracting money, including EVS, BVS, APS...
The remaining top liquidity increases include individual stocks in other industry groups such as electricity (VPD, GEG), medical equipment (SRA, AMV), coal (NBC, TVD)...
Cash flow continues to diversify in the construction stocks group. KPF, CTI, PTC, NAG, DTD, CSC... increase liquidity. On the contrary, C47, HBC, REE, LIG, S99, VC2, DDG, MST... belong to the group of reduced liquidity.
In the past week, some real estate stocks had withdrawals. EVG, VHM, TIG, HUT, VC7 all reduced their liquidity by 30% or more. BII also recorded a decrease of more than 25% compared to last week. Along with that, the market price decreased by 16%.
