Coffee prices today April 24: Suddenly increased sharply

(HSV VIETNAM GROUP) – Today's coffee prices increased sharply throughout the trading session on the two main exchanges, London and New York.

Ending the early morning trading session of April 24, today's coffee prices increased by 1.91% - 2% for Robusta, while Arabica coffee prices increased by 3.03% - 3.49%. This is a "cool" increase for those who are holding coffee.

Robusta coffee prices for terms are as follows:

May 2025 to 5,331 USD/ton, an increase of 100 USD/ton.

July 2025 to 5,362 USD/ton, up 105 USD/ton

September 2025 to 5,298 USD/ton, up 103 USD/ton

November 2025 to 5,222 USD/ton, an increase of 99 USD/ton.

Converted by exchange rate, the price of Robusta coffee on the London floor is from 134,500 - 138,100 VND/kg.

The latest domestic coffee price is at 129,400 VND/kg so it is expected to increase sharply today.

Arabica coffee prices increased even more strongly, the May 2025 term increased to 290 USD/ton, to 8,500 USD/ton, equivalent to 218,900 VND/kg.

Coffee prices increased sharply after Easter, causing many surprises when forecast indicators showed the opposite.

Notably, information about Brazil's Robusta harvest is about to begin, while Vietnam's quantity is said to still be abundant.

Regarding the coffee market, it is worth noting the data on Vietnamese coffee exports to Thailand.

Customs data show that in the first 3 months of 2025, Vietnam exported coffee to Thailand reaching 8.07 thousand tons, worth 62.6 million USD, down 30.7% in volume but up 61.4% in value compared to the same period in 2024.

The average export price during this period was 7,765 USD/ton, up 132.9% over the same period last year. The reason, in addition to the increase in coffee prices, is also due to Thailand increasing imports of Arabica and processed coffee, so unit prices are high.
