Today (June 30), Hoa Phat Group recorded stable selling prices for 10 consecutive days (from June 21 to present), currently CB240 steel coil is at 16,600 VND/kg; D10 CB300 steel costs 16,900 VND/kg.
Viet Duc steel brand, with CB240 steel coil stable at 16,650 VND/kg; D10 CB300 rebar steel is priced at 16,980 VND/kg.
Viet Y steel brand, with CB240 steel coil stable at 16,700 VND/kg; D10 CB300 steel costs 16,850 VND/kg.
With the Kyoei steel brand, the CB240 steel coil line continues to be stable at 16,650 VND/kg; D10 CB300 rebar steel has a price of 17,000 VND/kg.
Thai Nguyen Steel Company with its two products, CB240 steel coil, currently priced at 16,340 VND/kg; D10 CB300 steel at 17,000 VND/kg.

Steel price on the trading floor
At the end of the trading session, the October 2021 futures steel price on the Shanghai trading floor decreased slightly by 12 Yuan to 5,113 Yuan/ton.
According to Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, the country's steel production capacity has increased sharply from 123 million tons in the year ending March 2014 (Iranian calendar), to 230 million tons last year (ending March 2021).
The latest figures from the World Steel Association (WSA) show that, with steel output in the first 5 months of 2021 increasing by 9.2% over the same period last year to 12.5 million tons, Iran ranks 10th in the world in steel output.
WSA data also shows that the group of 64 largest steel manufacturers in the world produced 837.5 million tons of steel in the first 5 months of this year, an increase of 14.5% over the same period in 2020.
During this period, China remained the world's largest steel producer with a total output of 473.1 million tons.
Next is India with 48.6 million tons. Japan ranked third with an output of 40 million tons in the first 5 months of this year. Meanwhile, the US, Russia, South Korea, Germany, Türkiye and Brazil ranked fourth to ninth respectively.
Iran's steel production industry has continuously grown over the years, despite the impacts caused by US sanctions and the Covid-19 pandemic.
Iran is expected to rise to 7th place among the world's leading steel producers by 2024 (ending in March 2025 according to the Iranian calendar). The country's production capacity has increased sharply from 123 million tons in 2013 (ending in March 2014), to 230 million tons in 2020 (ending in March 2021).
In another development, Information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the EVFTA Agreement continues to have a positive impact on trade activities between Vietnam and the EU when the growth of two-way trade turnover in the first quarter of 2021 is much higher than the increase in the last 5 months of 2020 (after the EVFTA Agreement took effect) and 2020.
According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, in the first quarter of 2021, trade turnover between Vietnam and the EU reached 13.6 billion USD, an increase of 15% over the same period in 2020.
Of which, Vietnam's export turnover of goods to the EU reached 9.65 billion USD, an increase of 14.7% over the same period in 2020. This is a remarkable growth rate when the region's demand for goods imports still decreased sharply compared to the same period in 2020 in the context that the EU economy still faces many difficulties due to the unpredictable developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, significantly affecting the demand for goods of EU consumers.
Regarding goods, the EVFTA Agreement has supported the export of many product groups to the EU market when the growth rate in the first quarter of 2021 is more positive than the last 5 months of 2020 and the whole year 2020 such as machinery, equipment, tools, and other spare parts; shoes of all kinds; iron and steel of all kinds; iron and steel products; wood and wood products...
Specifically, iron and steel exports of all types are the items with the highest increase in export turnover, increasing by more than 566% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the 46.7% increase in the last 5 months of 2020, after the EVFTA Agreement took effect.
This growth shows that steel industry enterprises are increasingly interested in exploiting the EU market and have taken good advantage of the incentives provided by the EVFTA Agreement. According to commitments in the EVFTA Agreement, the EU's import tax rate on all types of iron and steel from Vietnam has almost reached 0%, except for 3 product codes 72024910; 72024950 and 72024990 have tax reduction roadmap B7.
