(HSV VIETNAM GROUP) – According to the plan, the rolling line is expected to provide the first products in the third quarter of 2026 and the molding line will be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026.
On April 10, Hoa Phat and Primetals Group signed a contract to provide high-quality steel casting and rolling lines with a capacity of 500,000 tons/year. With this line, Hoa Phat Group will promote the production of high quality steel lines.
According to the agreement, Primetals will design, supply and install billet casting machines that will allow Hoa Phat to produce steel products for car tire treads (tire cord, bead wire), manufacturing steel, bearing steel, prestressed steel, etc. and many other high quality products. In particular, the line also integrates a large-format billet casting module to produce rail steel (bloom), and a beam blank billet to produce steel shapes up to 800mm to serve the steel structure industry.
At the same time, Primetals provides Hoa Phat with high-quality wire rod steel rolling line equipment. The products of the line are steel for tire treads, car tire treads (steel cord and beadwire), cold stamped steel, prestressed steel, non-alloy spring steel, steel for crane cables, steel for precision screws, etc.
The line is also integrated into the production of plain round steel bars and rolled steel bars to serve the manufacturing and processing industries and the defense industry.
These are the most modern equipment lines of Primetals - a group owned by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, headquartered in the UK. According to progress, it is expected that in the third quarter of 2026, the rolling line will be able to provide the first products and in the fourth quarter of 2026, the casting line will be put into operation.
