(HSV VIETNAM GROUP) – In the first ten days of February, crude steel output of CISA members recorded a slight recovery of 0.6% compared to the previous period, reaching an average of 1.95 million tons/day.
However, this number is still 8.8% lower than the same period last year. In contrast to crude steel, finished steel output decreased sharply to 1.75 million tons/day due to the impact of the Lunar New Year holiday and the production regulation of factories.
Regionally, the North recorded a slight growth of 0.6%, while the East decreased by 1.3%. Members' steel inventories increased by 2.7%, reaching 15.11 million tons. Overall on a national scale, CISA estimates crude steel output to reach 2.4 million tons/day, although a slight increase compared to the previous period, it is still at a record low over the past 5 years.
