(HSV VIETNAM GROUP) – Vietnamese long steel manufacturer - Nha Be Steel, a subsidiary of VNSTEEL, has begun to realize the project to ensure its own steel billet supply and improve competitiveness.
According to VNSTEEL's press release, Nha Be Steel has started construction of a steel billet production facility with a capacity of 150,000 tons/year. The project will include a steel production workshop and a continuous billet casting line. "Once completed, the project will have a steel billet production capacity of 150,000 tons/year, allowing proactive management of raw material supply, completing a closed production chain from steel billet refining to steel rolling, reducing production costs, improving product quality, increasing production and business efficiency and enhancing competitiveness," the company said.
The estimated investment capital is 450 billion VND (about 17 million USD). Construction is expected from August 2026 to July 2027, while equipment installation, testing and acceptance are expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2027.
According to research, Nha Be Steel is currently operating a factory with a capacity of 300,000 tons/year producing long steel products.
